British Skydiving Staff
Staff at British Skydiving HQ are responsible for day-to-day running of the British Skydiving in accordance with the policy of the Council, including membership renewals and conversions, and answering questions on a wide range of matters including technical, safety, events and first-time jumping, etc.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Tony Butler
Tony Butler is our Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Tony has his adult lifetime’s knowledge and experience of the sport, specialising in safety and training across the range of sport parachuting operations. Tony’s passion for the sport burns ever bright.

Safety & Technical Officer (STO) – Jeff Montgomery
Jeff Montgomery is our Safety and Technical Officer (STO).
Formerly a Chief Instructor at an Affiliated Parachute Training Organisation, Jeff chairs our Safety & Training Committee and is course director of our instructor training courses. He is an Advanced Instructor and Instructor Examiner with a background in the military.

Secretary General – Martin Shuttleworth
Martin Shuttleworth is our Secretary-General.
Martin is Secretary to the Council and some of its committees. His career has been on the staff of third sector not-for-profit organisations and he has gained a qualification in sports governance whilst working for us.

Communications Manager – Angel Fernandez
Angel Fernandez is our Communications Manager.
Angel brings his professional communications skills to our staff team – as well as his enthusiasm as a skydiver, to go ever onwards in the sport. He enjoys the journey and sharing it among the company of our fantastic skydiving community, and beyond.

Finance Manager – Lise Moore
Lise is the financial expert on the staff team and works closely with the Treasurer, the COO, and the Finance Committee of which she is Secretary, the role involves all aspects of finance from bookkeeping and budgeting to the preparation of final accounts for external audit.

PA to COO & STO – Trudy Kemp
Trudy Kemp is PA to the COO & STO.
Trudy is Secretary to our Safety and Training Committee and its Riggers’ Subcommittee and looks after the administration of all our technical and safety activities, including instructor courses.

Administration Secretary – Helen Lucas
Helen Lucas is our Administration Secretary and is also Secretary to our Competitions Committee.
Among a wide range of duties, Helen looks after Authorised Pilot Registrations and Display Team registrations and notifications.

Karey Goodwin is one half our membership services team.
Often the first point of contact with members, and often the friendly voices who answer the phone when you ring British Skydiving. Their knowledge of membership is fantastic, and they’re good at answering, or identifying people who can answer, all sorts of questions about the sport.

Sue Allen is one half our membership services team.

Dave Lucas is our Stores Manager.
Dave looks after our mail-room and stores and has a practical eye for everything mechanical and electrical, including our portable appliance testing.
